This includes the design, development, testing, and scheduling of all related issues. Manages multiple major projects with minimum direct supervision. Directs less experienced personnel. Responsibilities 1. Accepts engineering responsibility for all new designs and revisions to existing designs. Appraises engineering design, cost considerations, impact on manufacturing and customers, product safety, employee safety, environmental considerations, and regulatory issues as they relate to assigned projects. 2. Oversees the technical direction of technicians, designers, and other engineers as assigned to their projects. 3. Recommends and implements ideas for new product/new business opportunities. 4. Conducts value analysis and FMEA studies. 5. Monitors new materials and technology in related fields of engineering and provides reports to the engineering staff on these. 6. Examines designs for patentable features and prepares the necessary disclosures. 7. Maintains Project Management Systems to accomplish successful engineering projects. 8. Monitors project programs to achieve project goals and satisfy quality, cost, and delivery targets. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and four to seven years of experience in related field. -or-
  • Have a master's degree and generally three to six years of experience in a related field
  • Certification may be required in some areas
  • Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications
  • Have strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs
  • Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test

Pay:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
