Job Description

Responsible for program execution, leads cross functional team and guarantees all deliverables and targets identified in the approved initiative over the project development (cost, time, quality and performance).
Responsibilities:
Manages all the aspects of the assigned program to assure cost, time, quality and performance achievementCoordinates cross functional Platform team involved in program targets achievementResponsible to ensures Program budget achievement identifying all possible efficiencies vs. approved business caseEnsures procedures, best practices and methodologies application according to required standards and leads program documentation creation, monitoring and updating in line with Global Powertrain (Propulsion Systems) Development ProcessResponsible to ensures product readiness to support approved launches while defining appropriate timing milestones for the given project and leading the change review meetingsCoordinates and support engineering teams to deliver prototype & production batches that meet vehicle / program requirementsCo-leads proactive Risk Management tasks with QM and Platform team (i.e LUR), tracks/leads risk status update.

Supports the technical reviews/evaluations in respect to program targets/milestones.

Leads the responses to investigate/action bulletins related to product/process changes.

Coordination and implementation of Value Optimization and Quality Improvement activitiesReport out regularly to the Chief Engineer organization on the status and progress of testing. This reporting will continue weekly until the validation plan is completed and signed off by the Chief Engineer.

As testing progresses, the Validation Engineer will update the Test Timing Plan and the DVP&R document to ensure they are kept current on at least a weekly basis.

After testing, organize the post test analysis and teardown activity along with the project team to identify any issues or concerns.

Review reports with the Chief Engineer and file them in PDS.Provide instructions for disposition, re-use or recycling of the test propertiesA final review must be completed when all validation activity is complete to ensure all records are properly collected and stored.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldA minimum of 8 years of experience in a related fieldFamiliarity with automotive engine design, components, and testingStrong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA in with emphasis in Business, Finance, Management, or EngineeringPMP CertificationA minimum of 5 years or more in design, development and / or validation of enginesCritical character traits to ensure success: Organized, Action Oriented, Dealing with Ambiguity, Customer Focus, Problem Solving.
