Job Description

Starkey is hiring a Project Manager - Continuation Engineering (CE) at its global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN that is responsible for managing the intake, planning, execution, and closure of Continuation Engineering Requests (CERs) across the CE portfolio. This includes quality improvement, cost reduction, supply chain continuity, and manufacturing scalability initiatives for released hearing aid products. The PM works closely with CE engineers (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Verification), as well as Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and R D to deliver CERs on time and within scope. This is a high-visibility role with regular interaction with the Director of CE and cross-functional stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES CRE
Portfolio Management and Prioritization Manage the CE project intake process; triage, document, and prioritize CERs in alignment with Director of CE and cross-functional stakeholders. Maintain a current and accurate CE project portfolio view, including status, risks, resource utilization, and completion forecasts. Support the Director in establishing and reporting KPIs and SLAs for CE execution efficiency and responsiveness Provide regular portfolio-level status reporting to CE leadership and executive stakeholders Project Planning and Execution Create, maintain, and execute detailed project plans and schedules for assigned CERs using MS Project and establish best practices. Define project scope, deliverables, resource commitments, and timelines in collaboration with CE engineers and department leads. Facilitate weekly CE team meetings; document minutes, decisions, action items, and risk logs. Track, manage, and drive timely resolution of project risks, issues, and action items. Call special working sessions as needed to resolve technical or schedule issues. Cross-functional Coordination Work effectively with CE engineers, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and R D to coordinate CER execution. Ensure that CERs requiring R D collaboration for specification changes are properly routed and aligned with design control processes. Coordinate resource commitments and quickly resolve scheduling or dependency conflicts with department leaders. Communicate project status and risks outward and upward to stakeholders and CE leadership in a concise, data-driven manner. Risk Management and Continious Improvement Proactively assess and manage project risk; establish mitigation and contingency plans for each CER. Capture lessons learned and contribute to CE process improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to reduce CER cycle time, improve execution efficiency, and reduce product development risk. Support deployment of new CE project management tools and practices as directed by the Director of CE. Other Duties/responsibilities as assigned. CE. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements Education 4 year degree in Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or another relevant field required. Experience Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or product lifecycle environment. Fundamental understanding of electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering concepts preferred. Hearing aid, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environment experience preferred. 4 year degree in Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or another relevant field required. Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or product lifecycle environment. Fundamental understanding of electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering concepts preferred. Hearing aid, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environment experience preferred.
Knowledge / Technical
Requirements Proficient with MS Project and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with PMO tools, SharePoint, or equivalent project tracking platforms. Working knowledge of change management, ECO/ECR processes, and design control in a regulated industry preferred. Understanding of supply chain, cost engineering, and manufacturing operations a plus. Competencies, Skills & Abilities Detail, data, and process-driven with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems, and generate effective solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse cross-functional groups. Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. PMI certification (PMP or CAPM) desirable. Experience with MS Project Server and SharePoint desirable.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The target rate for this position is between $88,550 to $115,000/year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
