Transmission Project Developer Location Fergus Falls, MN Grade 11 Otter Tail Power Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transmission Project Developer to support the development and execution of transmission line projects. This role plays a critical part in advancing infrastructure initiatives that support reliable electric service and regional growth. This role reports to Senior Management Project Management. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of transmission line projects from concept through execution. Obtain major permits required for the construction of transmission lines, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Manage permitting timelines and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies. Facilitate community engagement efforts, including outreach, communication, and relationship management with stakeholders. Oversee siting and routing activities, working closely with internal teams and external consultants. Review, negotiate, and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, environmental, legal, and asset management. Track project progress, budgets, and risks, ensuring successful delivery aligned with company objectives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated experience in project development, permitting, or infrastructure projects (utility or transmission experience preferred). Strong knowledge of regulatory and permitting processes related to transmission or energy infrastructure. Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience with public outreach and stakeholder engagement. Strong organizational and contract management capabilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The actual compensation within the compensation range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
