You'll be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems that directly impact technical quality, field performance, and customer satisfaction. Success in this role means delivering accurate, constructible, and code-compliant electrical designs—all while upholding KE's commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Design and analyze electrical systems for solar and BESS installationsCreate system layouts, stringing plans, voltage drop calcs, and specificationsSupport construction with site visits and technical reviewsDevelop and maintain system drawings, equipment specifications, and reportsEnsure compliance with NEC, NESC, and industry standardsCollaborate with project managers, customers, and regulatorsReview vendor submittals and coordinate with procurementMaintain accurate documentation within project databasesProvide feedback and improvements based on field conditionsAssist with permitting and interconnection requirementsTravel to job sites as neededQualificationsWhat You BringYou're someone who shows up ready to contribute, solve problems, and work alongside a team that takes pride in doing things right.

Successful candidates typically bring:

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience3-5 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, or power systems designWorking knowledge of the NEC and applicable renewable energy standardsProficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVCase, and Microsoft OfficeStrong communication and organizational skillsValid driver's license with a clean driving historyAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkPreferred ExperienceDC and AC electrical systems, including low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV)Electrical drawing sets and single-line diagrams (SLDs)Material takeoffsEquipment approval drawings and submittalsConstructability reviewsField or construction experienceAdditional InformationPay RangeWe believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.

Pay Range:
