Job Description

Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to support the Engineering Manager and oversee a team of engineers, their work, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively. This Role involves providing technical guidance, managing resources, and ensuring projects adhere to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. The engineering supervisor plays a key role in mentoring, training, and developing their team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leading, directing, and mentoring a team of engineers
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the engineering team to ensure efficient and effective project execution
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Providing technical expertise and support to the engineering team
  • Managing resources (including personnel, budget, and equipment) to optimize project execution
  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies
  • Working with other departments (e.g., sales, production, management) to ensure project success
  • Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Identifying training needs and facilitating professional development opportunities for team members
  • Identifying opportunities to improve engineering processes and workflows
  • Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the engineering team, ensuring adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by the engineering manager
Competencies:

  • Understanding of ISO standards and ISO business standards
  • Knowledge of WHMA 620 and IPC 610

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology and or 5+ years' relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Technical aptitude and experience with tools and machinery
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will supervise the Engineering Department and report to the Engineering Manager.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment and a manufacturing setting. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and calculators. While on the floor, you may be subject to loud noises.
Physical Demands:
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Pay:
$78,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
