Armament Systems Plymouth, MN is currently seeking a Principal Safety Engineer (Level 3) to be part of our Environment Health & Safety team. The home location would be the Plymouth, MN facility, which is a dynamic defense engineering and development facility that includes lab scale research and development facilities, with limited production capabilities. Role description &
Responsibilities:
The Principal Safety Engineer acts as the primary safety lead for facility and process safety support, ensuring safety is integrated into its development operations. They are responsible for leading hazard identification, building safety management systems and programs which ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and internal standards. This role often involves mentoring junior engineers, developing high-level safety strategies, and engaging with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory bodies Ability to travel in support of analyzing explosive operations at other NG facilities, attend trainings and collaborate with other locations,
