Job Description
For 100 years, Duke Manufacturing has put people first with the goal of being an employer of choice and a good neighbor in each of our communities. Our Purpose is to Nourish Our World and an important way we strive to do so is to create a work environment that encourages each individual to find their passion and grow to their full potential. As a family-owned business we take a long-term view, providing stable employment in a team-based environment; training, feedbackdevelopment; and opportunities to advance in skills, responsibility and leadership. We are currently looking for a Knowledge SystemsAI Enablement Intern. This internship provides hands-on experience in building and governing an enterprise knowledge system within a real manufacturing environment. The student will gain exposure to how structured information, data governance, and AI tools directly impact engineering efficiency, product quality, and operational execution. Rather than completing isolated academic exercises, the intern will work on a live system that supports Mod Standards, New Product Development, and Engineering Services teams. The intern will organize engineering documentation in SharePoint using structured metadata; design taxonomy to improve search and AI retrieval; audit and govern legacy content; support AI knowledge tools; perform quality validation; and collaborate cross-functionally to build a sustainable enterprise knowledge architecture.
