Available Sirius Staffing is seeking an Engineering Project Manager for a direct-hire opportunity in Hamilton, Mississippi. This position will provide capital-engineering support and independently manage major capital projects within an industrial chemical manufacturing facility.

The Engineering Project Manager will lead projects from initial proposal through design, construction, commissioning, and implementation. This individual will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while supporting the facility's safety, environmental, quality, reliability, and productivity goals. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement capital-project plans with minimal supervision.

Manage projects from initial proposal and scope development through construction, commissioning, and final implementation.

Develop project specifications, cost estimates, expenditure justifications, schedules, performance milestones, and corrective-action plans.

Organize projects into defined stages involving scope, schedule, cost, functionality, design, construction, and commissioning.

Identify and manage risks affecting project safety, quality, cost, schedule, scope, and performance.

Prepare and submit complete capital-project packages for stage-gate approval.

Manage and participate in the design, planning, construction oversight, and commissioning of plant upgrades and modifications.

Coordinate internal employees, engineering resources, contractors, and contract labor throughout project execution.

Monitor project costs, schedules, milestones, and overall performance.

Ensure required Design Change Approvals are completed for capital projects.

Ensure compliance with applicable engineering, regulatory, safety, health, and environmental standards.

Monitor construction activities for compliance with site-safety requirements.

Provide direction to project-team members and other resources when additional assistance is required.

Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to support facility objectives.

Consistently demonstrate the organization's core values.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline required.

Minimum of two years of project-management experience, preferably involving industrial capital projects.

Experience leading or participating in capital projects from conception through implementation.

Thorough knowledge of plant operations and processes within an industrial or chemical manufacturing facility required.

Experience with project scope development, budgeting, scheduling, engineering design, construction oversight, and commissioning.

Strong project-management, planning, organizational, and risk-management skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

Collaborative and strategic approach to working with internal teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Physical RequirementsMust not have facial hair that interferes with the sealing surface of a respirator, including beards, goatees, hair below the upper lip, or excessive sideburns.

Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods, including sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to occasionally stand for extended periods and walk long distances between work areas.

Ability to occasionally ascend and descend stairs.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
