  • Water Services , you are the driving force behind field operations on complex civil infrastructure projects.

CIVIL PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Examine and understand the contract drawings, specifications, and addenda to identify design deficiencies, impractical details, and potential code violations. Ensure all required permits and licenses are obtained. Create detailed and accurate daily reports, including receiving and reviewing Subcontractor Daily Reports on work performed, labor, and materials. Review, update and approve on a weekly basis all as-built drawings and project documents. Create and maintain a monthly CPM schedule, developing schedule recovery strategies and improvements as needed. Maintain project phasing plans and schedules to ensure craft, subcontractors, and vendors understand workflow and required sequencing for achieving project milestones. Develop, plan, and implement, with the project team, all safety protocols, quality control procedures, jobsite security, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment needs, and manpower requirements. Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with the Client, Engineer, Project Representtatives, and other design team members and project stakeholders. Inspect, coordinate, direct, and manage the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and Jackson's self-perform labor and materials. Plan, track, and manage self-performed work. Maintain weekly productivity analysis and report results and operational wins/losses to estimating for future work. Perform weekly project staff, self-perform, subcontractor and/or Owner meetings to review pertinent information. Lead and develop project staff and craft with training, personal development and promoting accountability with all team members. Capture work by participating in proposals, project interviews, networking and business development outreach. Work closely with Human Resources to hire craft and build crews.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Handle all interactions with coworkers, subcontractors, clients, and the public in a manner that builds and maintains long-term, trust-based relationships. Go the extra mile to ensure project success and client satisfaction by double-checking all critical deliverables to reduce errors. Approach all tasks with ownership, pride, and accountability. Implement solutions quickly, efficiently, and effectively. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement through personal development and suggestions for company-wide enhancements. Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maintain self-motivation, punctuality, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of experience in the superintendent role on water and wastewater construction projects. Ability to read and understand project documents including plans, specifications, and contracts. Strong understanding of labor, material, and subcontractor costs; ability to analyze reports for effective project management. Experience managing subcontractors and self-perform labor forces.
Preferred experience with:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Procore Bluebeam Power Project Agtek Trimble Suite Civil 3D MicroStation or similar SketchUp Auto
CAD CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
Montana SWPPP certification (encouraged) OSHA 30 training (encouraged) Current CPR/AED certification
