Job Description

Hargrove is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects at a large industrial manufacturing facility in Bessemer City, North Carolina. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a mechanical or chemical engineering background, excellent project management skills, and experience coordinating complex industrial projects. What You'll Be Doing Lead engineering, procurement, and construction projects from initiation through completion. Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure project commitments are met. Develop and maintain project execution plans, resource forecasts, and project schedules. Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, invoicing, forecasting, and change management. Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress reporting. Review engineering documents, vendor submittals, fabrication drawings, and construction deliverables for compliance and quality. Ensure project documentation is properly reviewed, approved, and maintained. Support construction activities, startup efforts, and responses to Requests for Information (RFIs). Manage client expectations and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders. Champion change management processes and proactively address project risks and opportunities. Lead project teams while promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university. Minimum 5 years of engineering and project management experience in an industrial environment. Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, procurement activities, and construction processes. Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and resource planning. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience supporting chemical processing, manufacturing, mining, metals, energy, or heavy industrial facilities. Desired Skills Proven ability to lead teams and deliver results. Strong client relationship management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience coaching and mentoring technical teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
