Job Description

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager that will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership skills and accountability for all personnel and operations relating to the manufacturing engineering process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform all engineering and technical assignments related to the product line. Provide project management support to production, process engineering, quality and accounting.
  • Manage Production Engineers.
  • Responsible for complete execution of all fabricated products.
  • Responsible for overseeing and approving all quotes, manufacturing drawings, and supporting documentation for all product lines.
  • Review quotes and generate purchase requisitions for material and special-order components.
  • Manage vendor sourcing for materials.
  • Initiate product launch meetings as needed and ensure execution of all meeting action items.
  • Manage plan for PPAP action items.
  • Manage corrective action process for product quality issues.
  • Oversee CARB/EPA/State/Federal certification processes, filings and purchased parts regulation testing.
  • Maintain CAD standards for product design.
  • Back up for Tray/Tank Product Engineer quotes, drawings and drawing reviews.
  • Interact with Customer via email, phone, and site visits to coordinate and verify all customer specifications are met.
  • Provide expected completion dates and track progress to guarantee on time delivery.
  • Identify potential and existing problems and provide a solution.
  • Must be willing to be hands-on and work side-by-side with shop personnel to ensure accuracy and quality of product.
  • Closely work with cross functional teams such as Process Engineering, Quality, Production, and Accounting for execution of plans, develop process improvements and identify cost savings.
  • Secondary projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in a project manager role.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor, Radan, and TruBend
  • Experience in metal fabrication preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills desired.
  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Experience with PPAP's a plus.
  • Must be a strong leader and detail oriented.
  • Capable of working in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload.
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks, adapting to change and consistently meeting deadlines.
