- 160K (salary depends on experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager
- Heavy Civil Construction to lead large-scale earthwork, highway, and bridge projects from preconstruction through closeout.
The successful candidate will manage project teams, budgets, schedules, safety and quality, and maintain strong client and DOT relationships. This role requires proven heavy civil project management experience and technical familiarity with geotechnical, environmental, and highway construction practices. Key Responsibilities Lead planning and execution of heavy civil construction projects (earthwork, excavation, grading, bridges, paving, and other heavy highway scopes) from preconstruction through final turnover. Manage project budgets, schedules, change orders, cost forecasting and cash flow to achieve financial targets and timely completion. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site craft personnel to ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and to contract specifications. Serve as primary client and DOT liaison; manage permitting, reporting, inspections and compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements. Oversee geotechnical and soil-related work, including coordination of site investigations, testing, geotextile installation and interpretation of subsurface recommendations. Integrate design-build and construction design coordination with engineering teams, designers and civil engineers to resolve constructability or design issues. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of progressive project management experience in heavy civil construction with demonstrated success as a Project Manager on earthwork, highway and bridge projects. Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with heavy civil scopes: excavation, grading, earthwork, bridges, paving, and heavy highway construction. Familiarity with geotechnical principles, soil conditions, geotextile applications and coordination with geotechnical engineers. Demonstrated experience with design-build project delivery and construction-to-design coordination. Candidates who fill out skills and questions move to the front of the application process!
