Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Traffic and Transportation Professional Engineer to join our team. This position offers significant opportunities for career growth, project management, client interaction, business development, and the opportunity to help build and lead a traffic engineering group. Responsibilities Manage small- to mid-sized traffic engineering projects and support larger multidisciplinary projects. Oversee data collection, traffic analyses, technical reports, and project documentation. Perform traffic operations, safety, capacity, and travel demand analyses. Conduct traffic modeling and microsimulation using industry-standard software. Develop traffic mitigation strategies and safety improvements. Prepare traffic control, signing, pavement marking, and traffic signal plans. Present findings to clients, technical groups, and public audiences. Mentor engineers and planners and oversee technical work. Assist with proposals, business development, and project management. Manage projects from start to finish while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program required; master's degree preferred. 8+ years of transportation operations and safety experience. Experience with traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal design/timing, and transportation feasibility studies. Professional Engineering license required. Professional Transportation Operations Engineer certification required. Road Safety Professional certification is a plus. Knowledge of applicable traffic engineering standards and industry best practices. Strong technical writing, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong initiative, professionalism, and commitment to continued professional development.
