Job Description

Engineering and Tooling Manager Our manufacturing client is seeking an Engineering and Tooling Manager for their team! You'll oversee engineering, tool and die, and design operations to support the company's core business of metal stamping. This is a full-time, direct-hire role with great benefits. Responsibilities of the Engineering and Tooling Manager Establish and implement the strategic direction of the company's engineering and development initiatives Plan, direct, and oversee all activities for engineering, design, and tool and die manufacturing operations Work hands-on on the production floor, participating in product design, troubleshooting, and engineering improvements Supervise a team of 10-15 employees including Engineers, Machinists, Tool Makers, and other personnel; oversee workflow and staffing needs, and provide performance evaluations Work with customers on meeting their orders' design and engineering needs Establish and manage department's budget Collaborate with leadership to develop and meet organizational goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems Support QS9000 and continuous improvement programs Qualifications of the Engineering and Tooling Manager Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's a plus 10+ years of related experience required Extensive knowledge of metal stamping and tool and die industry and operations Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong supervisory and leadership skills Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite or related software and SolidWorks Working knowledge of
