Engineering Manager Posted on September 2, 2026 September 2, 2026 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering initiatives, develop technical solutions, and support operational excellence across a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong engineering expertise with proven leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and business results. Position Responsibilities Engineering Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop engineering personnel while establishing clear objectives and performance expectations. Provide technical leadership across engineering projects and operational initiatives. Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Coordinate engineering resources and priorities to support organizational goals. Project Management Lead engineering projects from concept and planning through implementation and completion. Develop project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and performance objectives. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to technical requirements. Process & Operational Improvement Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, productivity, and efficiency. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for engineering and production challenges. Implement continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices. Evaluate new technologies and technical solutions that can improve operational performance. Equipment & Technical Support Provide engineering support for equipment, systems, processes, and facility-related initiatives. Oversee equipment installations, modifications, commissioning, and upgrades. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions. Ensure engineering solutions meet applicable safety, quality, regulatory, and operational standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to address business needs. Translate operational requirements into practical engineering solutions. Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership. Support capital planning and technical evaluations for future investments. Compliance & Safety Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Support risk assessments and implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies. Promote safe engineering practices across projects and operations. Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Progressive engineering experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility. Experience managing engineering projects, teams, or technical initiatives. Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, equipment, or industrial systems. Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives. Strong project management, analytical, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Strong business and technical judgment with a hands-on approach to problem solving. Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Professional Engineer (PE) license.
