About Redwood Materials Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we're delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. Senior Technical Program Manager, Plant Engineering Redwood Materials is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, Plant Engineering, to lead high-impact projects at our live production site in Sparks, Nevada. This role sits at the center of operations, driving improvements that increase safety, throughput, yield, quality, and cost performance. You will work on-site with plant teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver improvement projects from basic engineering through design, installation, commissioning, and handoff to operations. This role also requires frequent communication with senior leaders and executives to align priorities, surface risks, and drive decisions. Success in this role requires strong engineering judgment, manufacturing experience, and the ability to execute in a fast-moving, live production environment. You will own a dynamic portfolio of projects while helping build the systems and processes that enable continuous improvement across the site.
Responsibilities will include:
Lead a portfolio of plant improvement projects from prioritization and scoping through design, execution, commissioning, and closeout Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and site leadership to define projects with clear scope, budget, timeline, and success criteria Develop concepts and basic engineering packages, coordinate design, and ensure solutions are practical for a live manufacturing environment Drive execution, startup, and commissioning while managing risks, resources, contractors, and cross-functional alignment Communicate regularly with senior leaders and executives, providing clear updates, recommendations, and escalation on project priorities, tradeoffs, and risks Build business cases, prioritize investments, and improve how projects are tracked, approved, and delivered across the site. Desired Qualifications BS or MS in Engineering required 5+ years of experience leading projects in a manufacturing or industrial production environment Experience managing plant improvement projects in a live production facility from concept through commissioning Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executives PMP or similar certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:
Ability to work in varying site conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, and temperature extremes.
Environment such as:
office, machine shop, wet laboratory, chemical plant, outdoor test sites. This role is based on-site at Redwood Materials' production facility in Sparks, Nevada; travel required as needed, less than 10%.
