Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to lead and support our manufacturing, design, and quality engineering functions. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys both managing a team and being directly involved in technical engineering work. The Engineering Team Leader will provide guidance and mentorship to the engineering team while ensuring established engineering processes, procedures, and quality standards are consistently followed. This role is responsible for supporting CNC programming, new product and process development, engineering design, quoting, manufacturing support, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts. The Engineering Team Leader will also help identify and implement best-in-class manufacturing and assembly practices and emerging technologies. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Development Lead a team of manufacturing, design, and quality engineers. Provide coaching, technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative, innovative environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing. Take a hands-on approach to both learning and teaching technical skills. Ensure projects and engineering initiatives are completed within established timelines. Engineering & Manufacturing Direct prototyping activities supporting the design and development of new products. Develop and implement new manufacturing and assembly processes. Manage Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) activities for special or custom products. Oversee Engineering Change Request (ECR) activities related to manufacturing processes. Create and manage CNC programs for machining centers using Mastercam. Create engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor and other CAD software. Develop workflows, work instructions, engineering processes, and procedures. Provide timely technical support to manufacturing operations. Support new product development initiatives. Assist with product and manufacturing cost estimating and quoting. Identify, evaluate, justify, and implement improved manufacturing practices and emerging technologies. Quality & Customer Support Support Quality Management System (QMS) maintenance and continuous improvement. Develop in-process inspection plans. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities. Support supplier quality onboarding activities. Provide technical support during customer contract review, production, and after-sales activities. Support customer-returned product investigations and resolution. Ensure applicable design, manufacturing, and quality engineering processes are followed in accordance with the organization's ISO-based quality system. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 10+ years of relevant experience in a related engineering or manufacturing field. Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Industry-recognized quality certifications, such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, or similar credentials, are preferred. Experience with Mastercam preferred. Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software preferred. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to address complex and unusual technical challenges. Strong verbal and written technical communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes. Strong design and manufacturing engineering capabilities. Experience with cost estimating and quoting. Ability to balance hands-on engineering responsibilities with team leadership and project management. Strong commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. You should enjoy solving difficult manufacturing problems, developing people, improving processes, and turning engineering concepts into practical production solutions.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
