Job Title:
1st Shift Quality Manager Job Description As a Quality Manager in Plastics Manufacturing, you will lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. This role is based in Hartville, OH. Responsibilities Lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. Supervise, train, and develop Quality team members, including Quality Supervisors and Inspectors. Oversee internal quality processes including inspections, material testing, and calibration systems for all measurement equipment. Investigate, respond to, and resolve customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Own disposition of non-conforming materials and drive root cause analysis to reduce defects and scrap. Maintain and control all quality documentation including manuals, SOPs, work instructions, and records. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Leadership to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are understood and met. Monitor and improve key quality metrics; report system performance and improvement opportunities to leadership. Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and third-party quality requirements. Generate Certificates of Conformance and support customer-facing quality documentation as needed. Essential Skills Quality assurance in plastics manufacturing or a similar field. Management or supervisory skills. Proficiency with measurement tools and quality engineering principles. Experience in root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Quality management and control expertise. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent experience (5+ years in Quality required). Experience in a manufacturing/quality environment with leadership responsibility. Familiarity with measuring equipment, blueprint reading, and Microsoft Office.
