- Global Head of Data Center
- will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Copeland's data center solutions portfolio globally.
- Specific responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive data center segment strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion for datacenter services;
- Navigating and influencing a complex, multi-layered ecosystem, including OEM partners, end users, and specification stakeholders, to position Copeland's technologies effectively within data center infrastructure solutions;
- Building and maintaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including technology vendors, channel partners, and industry organizations;
- Engaging external stakeholders to develop innovative datacenter solutions tailored to meet the unique requirements of the industry;
- Monitoring and analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation;
- Leading the evaluation of strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities aligned with data center growth strategy;
- Identifying new business opportunities and market trends and developing strategies to capitalize on them effectively;
- Collaborating with sales, marketing, and product development teams to inform compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies;
- The person in this role will help the organization achieve:
- Innovative business development and commercial strategies designed to drive growth and strengthen Copeland's position within the data center market;
- Greater visibility into emerging data center trends, technologies, and customer requirements, particularly across hyperscale environments, enabling more informed near- and long-term strategic decision-making;
- Enhanced market recognition and influence of Copeland's data center capabilities through active participation and leadership in key industry forums, associations, and standards bodies, helping to shape industry dialogue and strengthen the company's credibility within the data center ecosystem.
- Professional Experiences and Qualities
- The successful candidate will have a successful track record driving commercial activity (sales, business development, and/or strategy) within the data center ecosystem, including experience with infrastructure providers, OEMs, hyperscalers, or related stakeholders.
- The ideal candidate should also possess, at minimum, the following qualifications and attributes:
- Lead external market development for Copeland's data center business, serving as a senior ambassador to customers and partners while driving demand creation, strategic deals, and long-term growth;
- Proven track record of success in driving business development initiatives within the data center industry;
- Deep understanding of data center technologies, services, and market dynamics;
- Ability to synthesize complex market and technical information and translate it into clear strategic direction for internal stakeholders;
- Demonstrated ability to represent an organization externally and build credibility with senior stakeholders across the data center industry;
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels;
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals; This includes the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical teams;
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines;
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, develop business cases, and drive revenue growth;
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong sense of urgency and initiative;
- Displays interpersonal and communication skills indicative of the ability to influence people, articulate ideas, and lead a cross-functional team;
- Results orientation and the ability to inspire cultural change is required;
- Professional certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP) and industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, CDCP) are a plus.
