Full-Time | 40 Hours•Lead Civil Engineering Projects That Shape Communities We are supporting our client in hiring an experienced Land Development Team Leader to oversee civil/site development projects and guide a high-performing engineering team. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in technical delivery, team management, and influential work across a broad mix of markets. You will support impactful projects involving site layout, grading, paving, stormwater management, storm sewer, water distribution, and sanitary sewer systems across Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Federal, State, and Municipal sectors. The Opportunity As Team Lead, you will manage team operations, drive technical excellence, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high‑quality civil engineering solutions. You will play a key role in resource planning, project performance, client service, and staff development. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Provide day-to-day leadership, including oversight of engineering operations, workload planning, and team performance. Mentor and support engineers and designers to foster technical and professional growth. Participate in recruitment, training, performance reviews, and resource planning. Promote a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement. Technical & Project Delivery Lead civil/site engineering work including layout, grading, paving, stormwater, storm sewer, water distribution, and sewer collection systems. Perform or direct engineering studies, design calculations, and preparation of construction documents. Review drawings and submittals for accuracy and compliance with standards. Coordinate with internal and external design disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery. Track project risks, performance, budget, and schedule. Client & Business Engagement Participate in developing scopes, schedules, and fee proposals for new projects. Support proposal responses and client presentations when needed. Assist in identifying opportunities for new or expanded services. Maintain strong relationships through communication and high-quality service. What You Bring Skills & Attributes Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards and construction practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; familiarity with relevant engineering software. Strong communication skills for internal coordination and client interaction. Proven ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and drive successful project outcomes. Solid organisational, prioritisation, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and deliver reliable, high-quality work. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (ABET-accredited preferred). 7+ years of civil engineering industry experience. Licensing Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Work Environment The role offers a collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented environment.
