SUMMARY OF POSITION A
Forge Planner is a professional planner who works in the manufacturing industry. The job of a Forge Planner is to plan and coordinate the production of forged metal parts. The Planner is responsible for developing planning studies and reports in support of new and updated plans, programs, and regulations. They are responsible for coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets to ensure a project is successful.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To be a Forge Planner, one needs to have a combination of technical and soft skills. Here are some of the skills required to be aForge Planner:
Knowledge of the forging industry Must have strong analytical skills to successfully gather, analyze, and interpret data. Knowledge of plan-making and project evaluation. Mastery of techniques for involving a wide range of people in making decisions. Good numerical and financial skills are a must, this includes having a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. Must be able to analyze data, predict demand, and optimize production processes. Ability to collaborate with various departments, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure timely delivery of products and minimize waste.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience A bachelor's degree or a related engineering degree with 1-2 years of experience; or alternatively, an Associates (2-year) degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of manufacturing experience in a Forging, foundry, heat treatment facility.Skills:
Ability to convey information to a variety of individuals.Competencies:
Industry knowledge with close attention to detail with the ability to notice small changes in a process or product and/or to identify any inconsistencies in the process and ensure the quality of the product. Experience with programs as Word, Excel, Power Point, and computer aided drafting software such as Solid Works.Other Requirements:
