POSITION SUMMARY
Quality & Process Improvement Manager is responsible to affect real, actional change in the quality of the products we manufacture. The successful candidate must be willing to immerse within existing processes to identify ways to change and improve those processes. Collaboration with other members of the Operations Management Team will result in successful quality improvements. The candidate must possess a strong ability to communicate those changes. The implementation of quality improvements must be performed with a high sense of urgency and a clear understanding of and planning for the impact of those changes upon standard work, individually and departmentally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee non-conforming product identification, containment, and disposition. Monitor and analyze quality assurance data to ensure process consistency and compliance. Develop and execute Cost of Poor Quality reduction efforts in alignment with company goals. Lead root cause analysis related to customer complaints, internal quality non-conformances, and supplier defects. Use data to identify trends and proactively seek improvement opportunities. Collaborate closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and sales teams to ensure quality requirements are clearly developed, communicated and met. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency (DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma principles). Work with external parties such as material suppliers, test labs, and equipment vendors to coordinate activities necessary for the business. Promote a culture of quality ownership and accountability through frontline engagement. Maintain high sense of urgency in execution of quality/process improvement initiatives. Collect, analyze, and summarize quality KPIs for the business unit leadership team. Lead quality validation and verification processes for New Product Development (NPD) launches. Manage team of quality technicians and manufacturing engineer(s) as applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with concentration in one or more of the following disciplines: Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial) Management (Supply Chain, Operations) Business Six sigma or Lean Certification Master's degree is a plus ASQ certification preferred (CQE or CMQ/OE)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 6 years' experience in quality management and continuous improvement Experience in improving manufacturing processes Strong written and oral communications skills
  • including presentation skills Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills Proficient computer skills
  • particularly Microsoft Office applications ERP/MRP Systems experience
