Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (PE license preferred) Minimum of five years' leadership experience within manufacturing or electromechanical environments Extensive electrical engineering expertise including embedded controls, firmware, and automation Proven background in leading Stage-Gate new product development processes Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement approaches Proficiency in ERP and engineering documentation management systems Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate with executive leadership to set and execute strategic departmental goals Mentor and develop the engineering team, fostering innovation and accountability Manage engineering documentation, change requests, and process standards Oversee product design from prototype to launch, ensuring safety and manufacturability Lead electrical design efforts for control systems including firmware, software, and hardware Ensure all products meet regulatory standards such as ASME, ETL, and CSA certifications Drive technical support initiatives and engineer training programs Analyze warranty data and customer feedback to implement continuous improvements
