Job Description

Civil Project Manager
  • Land Development We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager
  • Land Development to join a growing, well-established firm in Metro Detroit.
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Land Development and is ideally based out of the Rochester Hills office, though the firm has three local offices throughout the Detroit metro area. Role Overview This is a highly client-facing project management position focused on civil land development projects across Southeast Michigan. The Civil Project Manager will oversee projects from early entitlement through construction, working closely with internal design teams and external clients on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and expectations throughout the project lifecycle Lead and manage civil land development projects including private, commercial, and K-12 developments Conduct site visits and support permit applications, zoning reviews, and land use evaluations Coordinate with municipalities and regulatory agencies Oversee and review engineering drawings and design work prepared by the internal team Provide construction phase support, including coordination and issue resolution Manage schedules, budgets, and project deliverables while ensuring quality and compliance Work Environment & Benefits Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days remote Salaried position Employee stock ownership (ESOP/AESOP company)
  • earn company shares Annual performance bonuses based on both individual and company performance Strong leadership exposure and long-term growth opportunity Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering 7+ years of experience in Civil Land Development Proven project management experience (3+ years preferred; less considered) Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6-12 months Preferred / Bonus Qualifications 10+ years of civil land development experience Experience working on K-12 projects Core Skills Civil Engineering Site / Land Development AutoCAD & Civil 3D Project Management Client Coordination & Municipal Permitting Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00
  • $135000.00/yr. Company Benefits Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
