Job Description

Mechanical Project Manager Location:
Windermere, FL Company:
Celtic Engineering, Inc. Celtic Engineering, Inc., a leader in mechanical / machine-design and specialty engineering for the entertainment, industrial, and aerospace industries, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated mechanical engineer with strong project management experience who can proactively manage projects with minimal supervision. Candidates with a Florida PE license, or the ability to obtain one within 12-18 months, will be given preference. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead the planning and execution of complex engineering projects, guide and mentor engineers, and work closely with clients and leadership. While your focus will be project management, you may also perform some technical work when needed to support project delivery. You'll have the opportunity to grow further as a technical expert or advance into higher levels of project leadership.
What You'll Do:
Oversee planning and execution of projects, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery. Develop workflows, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with technical leads. Provide technical direction for design and analysis when needed, and contribute directly to technical work in design or analysis. Lead creative problem-solving, evaluating alternatives for design and analysis. Identify project and technical risks and implement mitigation strategies. Present progress and challenges clearly to leadership and clients. Mentor and develop engineering team members. Review and approve engineering plans and specifications, ensuring QA/QC standards are met.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 10+ years of current, full-time mechanical engineering and project management experience required. Graduate degree preferred but not required.
Proven project management skills:
organization, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication. Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong interpersonal skills. Professional Engineer (PE) license in a U.S. state (preferred). Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or Ansys. Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly methods, weldments, and tolerancing. Experience with hazard analysis and FMEA.
