The WI Department of Transportation (WisDOT), Division of Transportation System Development (DTSD) is seeing an interested and qualified individual to fill a Project Development Project Manager (Civil Engineer Transportation Advanced) vacancy in the Northeast Region! This full-time permanent position will be headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the DTSD office building in Green Bay, WI at least 2 days per week, additional days for training will be required. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview. Position Summary This position functions as a Civil Engineer within the Northeast Region (NER), Project Development Section (PDS), serving as a Project Manager in the design and construction of transportation improvement projects. Under general supervision, this position manages activities on multiple projects including those of a highly complex nature for continuity in both design and construction phases. This position serves as a resource and advisor to the manager, supervisors, and consultant project leaders. This position may also perform as a construction and/or design project leader directing projects and assisting the team by advising and coaching team members on state highway projects. This position performs activities related to scoping, developing, monitoring, and reporting project schedules, budgets, issues, and resources. This position has primary responsibility for overall project quality. The duties and responsibilities require professional engineering expertise and the highest degree of independent discretion and judgment on transportation improvement projects in both the construction and design phases. Salary Information This position is in schedule-range 14-13 with an annual salary of $92,768 - $112,236, plus excellent benefits. Plus, an additional $2,080 per year for a Professional Engineer License. A $3,000 sign-on bonus applies to those who do not have any prior permanent full-time state service in the last five years and agree to remain in the position for one year. The $3,000 will be paid on the first paycheck. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
