The Project Manager plans, facilitates, and coordinates activities for a designated project to verify that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Substation projects may include equipment replacements, additions, expansions, taps, switches, telecom work, and equipment retiring. This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with remote options on Mondays and Fridays. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $52.93 to $62.93 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package. The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Management, Organizational Development, Computer Science or other directly related technical disciplines is preferred. 5 years of experience is required with an applicable Bachelor's degree. 7 years of experience is required without a Bachelor's degree in the applicable field. 10 years of experience is required without a degree. Experience should include project coordination/ management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft SharePoint or similar system to store, analyze, and manipulate information. Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Suite to store, analyze and manipulate information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar program Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners Energized Facility Permit is required within one year of assignment start. First Aid/AED/CPR Certification required within 30 days of assignment start. Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.
Preferred:
PMI or PMP certification. Ability to analyze, understand and effectively document technical data. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Experience with electric utility industry. Working knowledge of the Electrical Substation environment, functional and technical specifications, and life-cycle management.
