## The group you'll be a part of The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business. ## The impact you'll make At Lam, as a Strategic Commodity Manager, you play a crucial role in managing industry suppliers. You'll develop and implement commodity strategies, align development deliverables, benchmark suppliers, negotiate agreements, and resolve delivery, cost, and production challenges. Navigating a highly visible and dynamic environment, your strategic expertise in implementing initiatives will support commodity availability, quality, and cost to maintain Lam's reliability and competitive edge. ## What you'll do
  • Develop a 3-year vision, strategy, and organizational structure for assigned commodities. The strategy should enhance competitive differentiation and address commodity availability, quality, and cost.
  • Mitigate overall supply chain risks by managing BCP plans, capacity, safety stocks for finished goods & sub-components, etc.
  • Manage commodities which include Pneumatic Commercial Off the Shelf & Custom design parts, and OEM parts.
  • Champion on architecting and delivering a complete end to end strategy that supports Lam's 3-year horizon:
  • Supplier selection (expansion & consolidation) that meet business needs.
  • Emphasis on delivering & focusing supplier investments (R D & capacity expansions) that are aligned with Lam's initiatives.
  • Commercial negotiation that results in achieving annual objectives for cost, quality and flexibility without risking any tool deliveries to customers.
  • Early engagement with product group for supplier selection during development stage. ## Who we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree and/or MBA in Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations, Engineering, or related degree with a minimum 15 years of working experience.
  • 5 years of working experience in the Semiconductor Equipment industry is a plus.
  • Strong experiences in negotiating various types of contractual agreements.
  • Strong SAP experience.
  • Experience working with global suppliers.
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully in a matrix organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience giving presentations and interaction with director reports, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership.
  • Proficient on Excel and Power Point.

'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time. #LI-FT1 Salary CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00. The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
