Engineer 4, Roadway Design

Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Roadway Design Engineer in North Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities include:

Leading roadway design tasks from preliminary to final design for SCDOT, County, and Municipal clients Developing and reviewing plan sets, perform roadway geometrics in Open Roads/ MicroStation, quantity estimates and associated documents, and working with project team member Serving as roadway project lead as necessary Grow and learn necessary skills to move into Project Manager role Other duties as assigned A valid driver's license and some travel will be required. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited college or university and at least 4 years of experience. A PE license is required. The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: South Carolina PE or ability to obtain within 6 months of starting date Roadway design experience Demonstrated experience with Bentley Open Roads, MicroStation, MS office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Prior design experience with SCDOT preferred Why Mead & Hunt?
