Job Description

Lead Design Manager Black Tie Components Logistics Manager Pay Range:
$100,000-$115,000 annually (based on experience) Summary The successful candidate will be someone who loves design and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to solving design and engineering challenges with customer satisfaction in mind. Purpose of Position This position is responsible for designing roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels using MiTek software while leading a team of designers. The Lead Design Manager ensures designs are accurate, code-compliant, production-ready, and optimized for material and labor efficiency. Essential Functions Provide designs and bids for assigned jobs in a timely manner Lead and mentor the design team (local and remote) Ensure economical and proper use of materials Coordinate with sales, production, and logistics teams Troubleshoot design and engineering issues and document solutions Maintain accurate records and reports on a job-to-job basis Assist in training and development of designers Communicate with customers, engineers, and jobsite supervisors as needed Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong math and engineering fundamentals Proficiency with MiTek software Knowledge of current building codes related to truss design Ability to anticipate and resolve problems before they affect production or customers Strong leadership and communication skills Experience and Education Requirements Minimum 5 years of truss and/or wall panel design experience High school diploma or GED required Must pass background check and non-DOT drug test Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off #hc221286
