Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead process innovation, equipment design, maintenance strategy, and engineering team development within a fast-growing, high-technology manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, production scalability, safety, reliability, and continuous improvement across the facility. The Engineering Manager will oversee Process Engineering, Controls Engineering, Facility Engineering, and Maintenance Engineering functions while partnering cross-functionally to support company growth initiatives and operational goals. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader with strong technical expertise, capital project experience, and a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams in advanced manufacturing environments. Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Leadership & Team Development Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for manufacturing process support and continuous improvement Develop role-based expectations, succession planning, and employee development programs Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, integrity, and operational excellence Lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Capital Projects & Operational Support Lead capital planning, CAPEX budgeting, and operating expense management for Engineering and Maintenance departments Collaborate with Corporate Engineering to implement engineering standards, best practices, and strategic initiatives Lead projects focused on process optimization, automation, equipment upgrades, and operational improvements Ensure production systems remain safe, reliable, and scalable to support business growth Manufacturing Process Improvement Develop and improve manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Drive initiatives focused on scrap reduction, OEE improvement, uptime reliability, and cost reduction Ensure process scalability from prototype development through full production Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering change activities to ensure manufacturability and production readiness Equipment Reliability & Maintenance Define and maintain equipment specifications, engineering standards, and vendor performance expectations Implement and manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are fully deployed and optimized Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production, quality, safety, and reliability issues Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance Collaborate with Quality, Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, HR, and Corporate Engineering teams Support customer requirements, product applications, and manufacturing capabilities Ensure compliance with ISO standards and applicable quality management systems Provide data-driven updates on engineering projects, maintenance performance, and operational metrics Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred) 10+ years of engineering leadership experience within: Battery manufacturing Extrusion Coating Polymer processing Specialty film High-precision continuous manufacturing environments Strong CAPEX project management experience Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams Expertise in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills Experience with statistical problem-solving and structured decision-making methodologies Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to manage priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Willingness to travel to plant locations and vendor sites as needed Additional Requirements Sponsorship is not available for this role Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Pay:
$150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
