Job Summary:
Oversees the successful delivery of Self-Perform Work (SPW) projects by leading scope, schedule, cost, and quality management across multiple related scopes, multiple projects and teams, or a single large scale/complex scope. Applies advanced technical expertise and field management experience to plan and execute complex SPW operations—including concrete, drywall, framing, and other trades—ensuring alignment with DPR Construction's standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence. Leads and develops SPW project teams to drive high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement in self-perform delivery. Engages in resource strategy, partner relationship management, and business unit objectives to advance DPR's capabilities as a whole and contribute to excellent project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads SPW project execution from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring all scope, schedule, and cost objectives are achieved. Oversees project planning, resource allocation, and cost management to maintain operational efficiency and profitability. Manages and mentors SPW project teams, including project managers, project engineers, and superintendents, to promote professional growth. Collaborates with design and general contracting teams to coordinate SPW scopes and resolve technical and logistical challenges. Reviews and approves project budgets, forecasts, and procurement strategies for materials, labor, and equipment. Ensures adherence to DPR Construction's safety and quality programs through regular site engagement and performance monitoring. Regularly assess processes and practices to look for ways to improve performance. Develops best practices and ensures team adherence to those best practices to strengthen SPW operations.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
10-12 years of experience in construction operations, project management, or field supervision required. 5 or more years of experience managing Self-Perform Work (SPW) projects or trades such as concrete, drywall, or framing required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.
