At Enphase Energy, Inc. in Arlington, TX, lead the onsite manufacturing team producing Enphase products to execute company production targets and capacity expansion, serving as subject matter expert on Enphase inverter production methodology. Lead and own all aspects of automated production lines at the contract manufacturing facility, managing a team of Enphase engineers and overseeing the work of the contract manufacturer. Present performance results and action plans in weekly Enphase management reviews as the production lead. Hold full responsibility for cycle time optimization, improving quality yields, and scrap reduction. Conduct daily build plan reviews and collaborate with purchasing/logistics to ensure adequate support for material procurement. Oversee effective use of critical systems needed for day-to-day activities such as deviations, MCOs, Incorta and Production Dashboards. Direct maintenance activity schedule, manage spare parts acquisition, and monitor key metrics such as MTTR and MTBF. Lead the manufacturing team using expertise in test systems including ICT, Functional Test, Hi-Pot Test and Gang Test. Direct production control, job scheduling and inventory management for maintaining production flow. Drive capacity expansions to match Enphase needs. Engage extensively with Engineering, QA, Program Management and Product teams to improve current product features. Provide manufacturing feedback to design teams for new product introductions. Champion new-product development and requirements for various program stage gates. Serving as automation expert, provide solutions to equipment manufacturer to refine their machines to achieve higher output efficiency. Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and 7 years of electronic manufacturing engineering experience, including leading ramp-up of production lines to achieve required output based on scientific data analysis.
Experience must include:
7 years of experience leading new product launches and working with machines including soldering, glue machines, conformal coating and ultrasonic welding; Conducting technical issue resolution for automated line function for all processes including API, Carousal, and Potting; Developing manufacturing designs for mechanical and PCB assembly; Creating technical documents including drawings, process steps, and test procedures for new proprietary product designs; Applying data analysis skills to monitor, detect and resolve problems in factory daily operations; and Negotiating with Contract Manufacturer to align with customer goals.
