At NVIDIA, we build the CPU, GPU, and infrastructure as a single unit of design. Ready to help us define what comes next? Widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers, NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. What you'll be doing: We're expanding our team and looking for a Director/Senior Director, Server CPU Product Architecture, to lead the definition of NVIDIA's next-generation server CPUs. This is a meaningful role! You will drive the product architecture of NVIDIA's server CPUs from first concept through launch, working directly with system architecture, platform architecture, and product management to define what the CPU needs to be, and driving the architectural trade-offs that determine how it performs across the entire data center. This role works directly with customers and partners, bringing market needs and cases — including return on investment — back into engineering, and across architecture, platform, networking, software, and silicon engineering teams so every CPU decision serves the AI factory as a whole. This role leads a team of senior architects and represents the roadmap to customers and to NVIDIA's most senior technical and executive leadership. What we need to see:
15+ years of experience in server or data center CPU/SoC architecture, having shipped multiple product generations. 7+ years of managing a team to deliverNVIDIA CPU
Product strategy A history of partnering across architecture, engineering, and product organizations, and building and scaling high-performing teams. Experience owning products through their full lifecycle — including customer engagement, return on investment ownership, and value proposition. A proven ability to supervise industry and technology trends and competitive dynamics, and anticipate where the market is heading. Experience co-designing silicon requirements directly with hyperscalers or large AI labs. BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. Ways to stand out from the crowd: Experience spanning both x86 and Arm-based server CPU architectures. A background in accelerated computing or AI infrastructure, not just traditional server CPUs. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 288,000 USD - 437,000 USD for Level 5, and 352,000 USD - 529,000 USD for Level 6. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Applications for this job will be accepted at least until September 15, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy. NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes.
