The NPI CapEx EPM is responsible for coordinating equipment requirements between Engineering and contract manufacturers in Asia to support engineering prototype builds and development through the entire product life-cycle (up to hand-off to mass production). \n\nThis EPM is responsible for coordinating with cross functional partners, to ensure program equipment needs are met. Program managers are confident leaders capable of working with multi-functional teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations quickly. This requires an in-depth understanding of new product development and manufacturing processes.\n\nAn Apple EPM must respond quickly to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture. EPMs must be fearless leaders capable of working with cross-functional teams to identify risks, explore solutions, reach consensus and execute mitigations as quickly and efficiently as possible. As this requires an in-depth understanding of development and manufacturing process.\n \nThe NPI CapEx PM also creates an overall project budget and tracks expenditures in a dynamic and ever changing design and schedule atmosphere to make sure the team stays within that budget.\n \nThe role includes the following main duties:\nDrive cross-functional teams towards consensus of requirements\nManage and drive in-region resources at contract manufactures (typical in Asia) to drive procurement activities on Apple's behalf\nBuild overall project budget, compile budget requests, and generate capitalization plan based on project schedules\nCalculate ROI of change in process/equipment requested by OEM or internal teams\nProvide monthly/quarterly budget updates and capitalization plan\nSuccinctly communicate overall equipment status to the management team\nWork with new product teams to support product launch and sustaining activities\nUnderstand the impact of cycle time changes and be responsible for adjusting forecasts accordingly\nVerify demands and lead the business team to ensure equipment is tracked to delivery\nWork with appropriate business and procurement teams to ensure support from vendors regarding setup, installation, repairs and maintenance\nRespond quickly to changes to the overall goals, schedule, and/or architecture\n BS/BA degree (engineering, business, finance or related discipline) \n3+ year industry experience\nWorking knowledge of procurement, finance, and program development processes \nImpeccable organizational, multi-tasking, and management skills\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience in manufacturing or test engineering is a plus \nExperience in new product development is another plus\nWillingness and ability to travel internationally as needed
