As a Transportation Project Manager, you will be responsible for the design and management of roadway, bridge, traffic impact and traffic signal projects; assessing traffic demand, traffic capacity, and public needs; preparing, analyzing, and reviewing plans for accident reduction, pedestrian safety, and the smooth movement of people and goods; overseeing construction; and attending client, public, and contractor meetings. Apply with Bleyl Today! Job Description Create plans for new and modified transportation infrastructure projects including traffic, safety, cost, and environmental factors. Investigate traffic issues, design signal timing, and create traffic control plans. Analyze and design drainage systems. Develop plans for street preservation including repaving, repairs, and intersection improvements. Evaluate project plans for code compliance. Perform regular site visit sites to monitor construction progress and quality. Review submittals, construction materials testing reports, and change orders for quality and compliance. Serve as a key liaison between clients, contractors, project managers, engineers, and the public. Prepare proposals and schedules for multi-phase and multi-discipline projects. Identify issues, recommend solutions, and resolve disputes. Attend design, pre-construction, progress, and close-out meetings and prepare reports. Job Requirements Licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas with five plus years of post-graduate experience with emphasis on transportation. Documented familiarity with AutoCAD and traffic simulation software such as Synchro or HCS. Excellent organizational skills to provide proactive steps, meet schedules, and address potential issues. Thorough knowledge of local and state codes, requirements, and procedures including TxDOT. Strong work ethic with a desire to work in a fast-paced, production environment. Detail oriented with the ability to complete multi-step tasks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure effective communication with all parties.
