This is a high-visibility leadership role for a hands-on Project Engineering Manager to lead a team of Project Engineers and drive manufacturing excellence improving quality, cost, production efficiency, and delivery, while serving as a key technical partner to customers. Financially backed by a larger parent organization, stability of a corporate group with the culture of a hands-on manufacturing site Diversified, resilient customer base (aerospace, defense, medical, industrial) Weekly pay + profit-sharing 2-2-3 rotating schedule = extra days off annually Strong internal mobility across multiple sister locations Real investment in skill development and career growth What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Engineers Set team goals, evaluate performance, and grow engineering talent Champion a safety-first culture in partnership with EHS leadership Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations Develop and execute short- and long-term engineering strategies Serve as the technical point of contact for customers on special installations and custom applications Review engineering designs to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase production efficiency Manage engineering hours and project cost estimates used for customer quotations Partner with plant leadership on production schedules and manufacturing capabilities Monitor project schedules, budgets, and performance, reporting updates to senior leadership
What You Bring Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Materials Engineering (or closely related field) 5-7 years of project engineering management experience , with proven people/team leadership, this is a leadership role, not a lead/senior engineer looking to step into management for the first time Background in foundry or casting operations (investment casting preferred, but other casting/foundry backgrounds, e.g., sand casting, die casting are welcome), or experience in a melt/furnace-based manufacturing environment (e.g., CNC/fabrication shops with melt processes) Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop orders, work plans, and technical documentation Strong mathematical, analytical, and practical problem-solving skills Working knowledge of tooling, materials, machining, and manufacturing practices Comfortable in a hands-on plant/manufacturing environment Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to wear required PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes) Nice toHave:
