Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Lead to oversee the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical engineering activities for large-scale industrial and manufacturing projects. This role will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary design efforts, ensuring technical excellence, and coordinating with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design development from concept through detailed engineering and construction support. Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, process, and operations teams to ensure integrated project delivery. Review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents for quality and compliance. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and design personnel. Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement activities. Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and field troubleshooting as needed. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and company specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. 8+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, energy, or large infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, equipment layouts, and engineering standards. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams. Proficiency with engineering design and drafting software. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
