Job Description Project Manager Odin Construction, headquartered in Northern California, specializing in environment remediations and geotechincial construction is hiring! Our clients include Army Corps of Engineers, State of California, Department of Water Resources, Sutter Butte Flood Control Agency and Private clients. Odin Construction is growing rapidly with several projects already on the books for the coming years! With growth comes hiring and we are looking to hire a top-Project Manager to the team! Summary of Functions The primary responsibility of a Project Manager is to manage each project assigned to him/her according to Odin's corporate philosophy of safe, quality production and client satisfaction while securing the most favorable economic outcome for Odin. The Project Manager will understand and comply with published Company policy and procedures. Reports to the respective Regional Manager. The Project Manager will coordinate labor and equipment with the Vice President of Operations for the selection, assignment and utilization of job supervisors, foremen, engineers, health and safety officers, and workers. Duties and Responsibilities Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete project. Prepare complete estimate for selected project with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, contracting, and the like. Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc. Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.). Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders. Assume responsibility contractual performance of the project. Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred Education and experience include: 4-year engineering degree/ Construction Management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. Minimum of eight years construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations; engineering, estimating, schedules and safety required. Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving skills and desire to be a team player.
