We're looking for a Project Engineer to join a well-established heavy civil contractor delivering major infrastructure projects. This isn't a role where you'll spend all day behind a desk — you'll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and field teams, helping keep projects moving safely, efficiently and on schedule. What you'll be doing
  • Work alongside the Project Manager and Superintendent to plan and deliver heavy civil projects.
  • Help develop project schedules, construction plans and the means and methods used to complete the work.
  • Review and interpret civil drawings, specifications and technical information.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers and field crews.
  • Order and track materials including pipe, stone, reinforcing steel and other civil construction materials.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals and project documentation.
  • Assist with change orders, owner billings and project cost tracking.
  • Monitor progress in the field and help identify problems before they impact the schedule.
  • Support project safety requirements and ensure subcontractors and crews are working to the required standards.
  • Gain exposure to both the commercial and operational sides of running a heavy civil project. What we're looking for Ideally, you'll have 2+ years of experience within construction, with previous heavy civil experience strongly preferred. We're particularly interested in people who have worked around:
  • Heavy civil / infrastructure construction
  • Highways and roadways
  • Bridges
  • Underground utilities
  • Water / wastewater
  • Stormwater and drainage
  • Earthwork and excavation
Concrete INDUSR Pay:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
