Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Value Stream Manager to lead a critical portion of the business within a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. This position is based near Roanoke, VA ( relocation is provided) This role has broad impact across operations and will oversee multiple product lines, including defense and commercial aerospace applications This is a highly visible position reporting directly to the GM, responsible for driving performance, leading cross-functional teams, and advancing continuous improvement initiatives across the value stream. Key Responsibilities Own and lead an end-to-end value stream across multiple products and programs Drive performance across quality, delivery, cost, and safety Lead and develop a cross-functional team (5-7 direct reports) across: Continuous Improvement (CI), Quality, Materials / Supply Chain, Production and Engineering Support both Defense and Commercial Aerospace programs , ensuring compliance with applicable standards and requirements Drive Lean / Continuous Improvement initiatives , including problem-solving and waste reduction Improve manufacturing processes, material flow, and operational efficiency Preferred Background ~7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing environments Strong exposure to: Electromechanical systems or Manufacturing of complex assemblies Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, root cause analysis) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
