Job Description:
AriensCo is seeking a Project Engineer with a strong interest in developing world class outdoor power equipment. The role also supports updating existing products. This role will lead a multi-disciplinary team through all technical aspects of new product development. They will be responsible for upfront planning and resourcing along with maintaining project schedule. This role supports the Platform Manager by taking responsibility for the technical development of new products with guidance from the Platform Manager.
THE DAY TO
DAY... Through influence, lead the multidisciplinary technical team that delivers new product development projects Work with Platform Manager(s) and other functional groups to develop project plan and resource estimates Prepare documents including scoping, cost estimates, capital expenditures, project schedules, and requirements documents Conduct and lead recurring team meetings and breakout technical discussions Maintain project action tracking documents and drives for completion of open activities Work with Product Director, Platform Manager, and Product Manager to convert customer language into Product Requirements Coordinate technical design reviews related to product development for platforms and ensures implementation of decisions Coordinate with and provide technical information to other groups as required. These groups would include Design, Tooling, Internal/External Engineering, Sourcing, Testing, Analysis, Manufacturing Engineering, Tech Pubs, Industrial Design, Marketing/Sales, Service Group, and Operations Provide updates to executive leadership on project status Provide technical leadership - functions as an engineer when necessary Engage with Product Conformance group to ensure necessary conformance standards and expectations are met THE QUALIFICATIONS... Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from four-year accredited school required Minimum of 7 years of experience related to the duties outlined Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
