Water Certification Full Job Description Benefits:
401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Paid time off Arizona Restoration Contractors is seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated Lead Mitigation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading field crews on residential and commercial restoration projects involving water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. As a Lead Technician, you will oversee the initial emergency response, assess property damage, execute mitigation plans, and ensure all work meets industry standards and company safety protocols. You will also serve as a primary point of contact for property owners, delivering exceptional customer service during stressful situations.
Key Responsibilities Field Leadership:
Lead, train, and manage a crew of mitigation technicians on job sites, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality workmanship.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to emergency service calls (water extraction, fire/smoke damage, mold remediation, and board-ups).
Scope & Assessment:
Evaluate structural damage, establish drying protocols, and accurately determine the equipment needed (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.).
Documentation:
Complete daily logs, moisture mapping, sketches, and photo documentation using restoration management software.
Customer Relations:
Communicate professionally with property owners, and tenants, explaining the mitigation process and answering questions.
Equipment & Inventory:
Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked company vehicles and equipment; report any maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in disaster restoration and property mitigation.
Certifications:
IICRC Certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) is required. Applied Structural Drying (ASD) or Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) certifications are highly preferred.
Leadership:
Proven ability to manage a team and direct workflow on a busy job site.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical details to clients clearly.
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (compliance with company vehicle policies is mandatory). Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments. Flexibility to participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies. Benefits & Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience(plus overtime opportunities).
