The Role We are hiring a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead environmental compliance work for our industrial client base. This is a mid- to senior-level role for someone with hands-on engineering experience who is ready to own client relationships and technical deliverables. You'll manage a team of environmental scientists and engineers, and have real latitude to build and run your own client accounts as you grow with the firm. As a senior member of the team, you will play an important role in developing and maintaining client relationships. Approximately 20% of your time will be spent meeting with clients, visiting project sites, understanding their needs, providing technical insight, and helping identify opportunities where our team can add value. What You'll Do Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to evaluate contamination and liability risk Engage directly with clients through in-person meetings, site visits, and regular inspections Serve as a client-facing technical contact — providing guidance, project updates, and compliance recommendations Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and correspondence with regulatory agencies Lead stormwater compliance efforts, including permitting, sampling, and SWPPP development Manage air permitting and compliance, from preparing permit applications to auditing client sites for compliance gaps Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations Collaborate with engineers and environmental scientists on integrated environmental solutions Manage and mentor environmental scientists and engineers Build the business by developing and managing your own client relationships What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in environmental engineering Experience with Phase I and/or Phase II Environmental Site Assessments Experience with stormwater inspections, sampling, or NPDES compliance Nice to Have Experience preparing technical reports and regulatory submittals Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools Working knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations Air permitting experience Prior experience mentoring or supervising junior staff Benefits Health and dental coverage Paid time off Free gym membership
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
