This role offers the opportunity to work on landfill development, landfill gas systems, environmental permitting, sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
Support permitting, design, construction, and operational projects for solid waste facilities. Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, permit applications, and construction documents. Develop site layouts, grading plans, and engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Assist with landfill, landfill gas, biogas, transfer station, recycling, and sustainability-related projects. Conduct field investigations, inspections, data collection, construction oversight, and quality assurance activities. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and project teams. Participate in proposal development, client meetings, and business development activities. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineering staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in consulting or related industry environments. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred. Strong technical writing, permitting, and project coordination skills. Valid driver's license and ability to perform occasional field work.
