The ideal candidate will have experience with various restoration processes, including mold remediation, water damage restoration, and asbestos abatement. This role requires proficiency in using both hand and power tools to effectively clean and restore affected areas. The Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that properties are returned to their pre-damage condition while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
Duties Emergency Response:
Respond to emergency calls to assess and address immediate mitigation needs, such as water damage, fire damage, or mold growth.
Mitigation Measures:
Implement mitigation strategies to minimize further damage and preserve the integrity of affected properties.
Water Extraction:
Perform water extraction and drying procedures to prevent water damage escalation.
Fire Damage Mitigation:
Carry out measures to mitigate the impact of fire damage, including smoke and soot removal, and deodorization.
Mold Remediation:
Conduct mold remediation activities, including removal, cleaning, and application of preventive measures.
Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain mitigation equipment, such as air movers, dehumidifiers, and thermal imaging devices.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of mitigation activities, including before-and-after photos, logs, and reports.
Communication:
Collaborate with other mitigation team members, project managers, and clients to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment for yourself and your team. Requirements Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred but not mandatory. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to restoration tasks. Knowledge of mold remediation techniques and water damage restoration practices is beneficial. Familiarity with asbestos abatement procedures is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean and restore various surfaces effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges encountered on the job. Must be physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting heavy objects.
