The Novelis Guthrie, KY team is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer. The Environmental Engineer will report to the EHS Leader and is primarily accountable for all aspects of environmental management at our aluminum Finishing and future Recycling operations. The Environmental Engineer holds the primary supporting role to the plant for performing the considerable detailed work required to develop and manage the

Environmental Management System (EMS). The incumbent will be responsible for preparation, submission and recordkeeping of environmental reports to corporate, local, state, and federal agencies, and works with consultants on various environmental issues that may arise. Additionally, the incumbent will be involved in the operations philosophies, culture, and team concepts as it relates to the management of the facility and in particular control plan development and environmental programmatic aspects and implementation. Responsibilities Manage and continuously improve all aspects of environmental compliance and sustainability at the Guthrie facility. Align Guthrie environmental programs and efforts with Novelis, Inc. performance standards. Primary representative for the site's

environmental management system Strategic planning to drive continual improvement and set direction for the site environmental program Provide environmental support for capital and expense projects, including regulatory permitting Develop and submit environmental reports and permits to governmental agencies Liaison to Federal and State (KY) environmental agencies Provide guidance and technical support for onsite pollution prevention measures Lead and/or manage environmental projects related to solid waste, air, wastewater, spill prevention and sustainability Maintain knowledge and stay up-to-date on environmental regulations and determine impacts to site operations Promote EHS policies, implement the EHS managements systems and ensure continual improvement of EHS performance in day-to-day operations. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Science 5

• 10 years' experience in a similar role at a manufacturing facility or comprehensive environmental compliance support of industrial facilities Demonstrated experience with Title V, RCRA, NPDES and Spill Prevention Compliance Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); ability to communicate with all levels within the organization Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to learn new software programs quickly Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed. Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail and organizational abilities. Superior analytical/ problem solving, written and verbal communications.
