Job Description Mitigation Technician A technician is mainly responsible for performing mitigation services for primarily residential properties while providing excellent customer service. This is a labor-intensive construction related position that has a rotating "on call / emergency response" requirement.
Job Requirements:
Visit new assignments/jobs, interface with the customer. Scope the damages, perform mitigation services, provide documentation to the estimator for approval. Develop moisture mapping and create drying-log. Be capable of carrying heavy loads of debris, damaged materials, and equipment from the property. Perform water damage restoration tasks, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment and techniques. Conduct fire damage cleanup by removing debris, soot, and smoke residues to prepare properties for reconstruction. Execute mold remediation procedures safely and effectively to eliminate mold growth and prevent future issues. Utilize hand tools and power tools for demolition, cleaning, and repair activities within damaged properties
Qualifications:
Have excellent customer service skills • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Be ready, willing and able to work and be available for overtime when needed. Be able to work unsupervised. Have a great attitude, be trustworthy, be dependable, and have a pleasant personality. Willingness to undergo a background check. Willingness to undergo a driving record check - must have a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Comfortable climbing ladders, working at ceiling heights, and working in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics) Able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Capable of repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of objects.
