Job Description

Salary :
$90-103K/year + 5% Bonus Job Description Join our team as an Environmental Engineer and play a vital role in protecting the environment and ensuring the responsible operation of our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in South Haven, Michigan. You're a rising environmental professional or early career engineer seeking to broaden your skills and impact, and this role offers a great opportunity to do so! You'll be the go-to expert for environmental compliance, working to ensure our regulatory compliance, optimize our processes and maintain a positive impact on our site & community. This role is on-site in South Haven, Michigan and reports the Senior Technical Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities Ensure Compliance:
Manage and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permits, and reporting deadlines.
Permit Expertise:
Review, update, and manage environmental permits as needed, working collaboratively with regulatory agencies.
Conduct Site Assessments:
Perform regular site inspections to identify and address potential environmental concerns.
WWTP & Utilities Optimization:
Contribute to improvements in our on-site wastewater treatment plant and utility systems, enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
Pollution Assessment & Solutions:
Analyze environmental data related to air, land, water, and waste generation, recommending solutions to minimize environmental impact.
Regulatory Liaison:
Serve as the key point of contact with environmental regulatory agencies. Physical Requirements and Environment Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Environmental preferred), or a related field 1-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications 1-5 years experience in an environmental compliance role within a manufacturing environment EGLE certifications as an Industrial Storm Water operator and/or Industrial Wastewater operator, are preferred but can be obtained following employment Experience with RCRA and DOT regulations Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Life Insurance and Disability Grace Wellness Program Flexible Workplace Retirement Plans 401(k) Company Match Paid Vacation and Holidays Parental Leave Tuition Reimbursement Company Donation Match Program Site specific contribution to local Wellness Center U.S. Employee Benefits Summary (grace.com)
